Detailed description

Compact: measuring 50 cm, the GLACIER LITERIDE ice axe is as compact as it is light, making it easy to carry on a backpack.
Lightweight and comfortable:
- the upper part of the blade offers a very good grip (comfortable support surface),
- the blade and tube are lightweight yet extremely robust.
Excellent anchoring in both hard snow and ice:
- the blade profile for secure, stable anchoring,
- the fine-toothed steel blade tip (3 mm),
- the stainless steel tip for excellent penetration in hard snow.
High strength and practicality:
- high-grade steel blade (identical to ice axe blades),
- high-strength steel tip with edge design for efficient step cutting,
- head and tip with holes for a carabiner or strap,
- high-grade aluminum handle (7075 aluminum used in aeronautics), with anodized finish for excellent protection against oxidation,
- grip machined into the handle for improved hold in pick-and-pull use.
